Bored Stiff

Bored Stiff was a 1977 Newcastle punk fanzine created by Terry Macalister, Mark Taylor and Tony Smyth that ran for just two issues and like local zines featured local bands like Blitzkrieg Bop, Penetration and Speed. Interestingly published by Tyneside Free Press.

Terry would later become Energy Editor at The Guardian and recount a bit about his punkier days on their website.

It’s also his face on the front cover of the first issue.
