The Drills formed in
1977 in a bedroom in East London. Comprising of Johnny Makita on
Guitar, Danny DeWalt on Bass and Bish Bosch on Drums the three
piece were regular players on the infamous Trade circuit. With
songs such as 'Lithium Ion LXT' 'Cordless Combi'
Failure to get a
record deal and increasing problems internally meant the band
finally called it a day in late 1978.
Perhaps their
career defining moment was supporting The Tools at the infamous
Trade venue in mid 1977. |
